It all about Argan oil lately. The name is becoming so familiar in the beauty market all over the world and yet shoppers can be confused. Honestly I was too few years ago, even if I been around this liquid gold for over three decades. As a Moroccan myself, it was a difficult task to get authentic, pure Argan oil even in Morocco. So my advise to you is to read as much as you can, look for products that are pure with International certification that are trustable.
Do you really know what is Argan oil or Moroccan oil? What is the difference between cold pressed and hand pressed? Why the prices range from $15 to over $70 for a 2oz bottle? What are the real benefits of using 100% pure Argan oil that is USDA organic and ISO certified for quality?
What is Argan Oil or Moroccan oil?
Argan oil, one of the oldest beauty treasures from Morocco, is a multi-purpose natural beauty care product that will enhance your beauty life. This natural wonder oil, used by Moroccan women for centuries, is derived from the fruit of the Argan (Argania Spinosa) tree in the Southwest of Morocco. The Argan tree can live up to 200 years in a dry arid region and produces an oval-shape green and yellow fruit. A single tree yields 8-13 lbs. of Argan fruit per harvest while each fruit contains 2-3 kernels. Almost 7 lbs. of kernel are required to produce about 34 fl.oz. of Pure Argan Oil.
The production of Argan oil is a labor intensive process that involves manual handling by Moroccan women at cooperatives. After the nuts are collected, they are cracked open by hand with a stone to obtain the kernels which are then machine cold pressed to extract the precious Argan oil. It takes up to 20 hours to produce about 34 fl.oz of Argan Oil.
Composition & Benefits
Argan oil contains approximately twice as much Tocopherols (Vitamin E) than Olive Oil*.
“Tocopherols are molecules with strong anti-oxidant and free radical scavenging properties. gamma-Tocopherols, the most efficient free radical scavenger of all tocopherols, composes 69 percent of argan oil total tocopherols content”**
Its high level of essential fatty acids – Oleic (Omega 9) and Linoleic (Omega 6) – associated to powerful antioxidants (such as Tocopherols and Polyphenols) makes this natural beauty oil an essential element for moisturizing, treating, nourishing, conditioning, and protecting your skin, hair, cuticles, and nails.

Skin & Hair Care with Organic Argan oil & Prickly Pear Seed Oil – Support Social Change For Women in the US & Morocco
“DRY, ITCHY, FLAKY knees, elbows, shoulders—well, just about every part of the body—are not a problem exclusive to chilly climates. They’re the result of a lack of moisture in the air. And eradicating the issue is harder than it seems.
“If you’re 18 and live in [a humid area like] Hawaii, you don’t need to worry about dry skin in winter,” said Rebecca Fitzgerald, a Los Angeles-based dermatologist. “If you’re older, and you live in a cold place like New York, going in and out of overheated rooms, or in a dry, windy place like L.A., it’s a different story.” Skin is drier in winter because cool air holds less water vapor, or humidity, than warm air. Forced-air heating systems also make water held in the skin evaporate faster.
The skin has two basic layers, explained Dr. Fitzgerald: the dermis where the sweat glands, capillaries and nerve endings are, and the epidermis. “The outer cells of the epidermis fit together like puzzle pieces to protect the dermis,” she said. “They don’t have their own blood flow, but they get a diffusion of blood and water from the dermis. The skin also produces oil to help the epidermis seal in that moisture.”
When a hot, soapy shower washes oils away, moisture evaporates from the skin, and the dry cells can turn into flakes, which she described as “flat, like paper, and waxy.”
There are a handful of simple tactics for battling seasonal scaly skin. Jordan Carqueville, a dermatologist at the Skin Care Center of Chicago, advises patients to use soap only on the parts of the body that need it, to sleep with a humidifier in their bedrooms—and to gently exfoliate before they moisturize…”
We recommend using KENZA Pure Argan oil & KENZA Pure Prickly Pear Seed Oil. We offer many beauty packages and combo for you to experience the beauty of our pure Moroccan Beauty Oils.
Although I have used Argan Oil for many years, I have to admit that it was not until earlier this year that I discovered Pure Prickly Pear Seed oil. This happens to be another beauty treasure from my native country of Morocco and which Europeans have been crazy about for many years already. It is a potent antioxidant beauty oil that it is currently the most sought after ingredient for the beauty and cosmetic industry.
Pure Prickly Pear Seed Oil is also one of the most expensive beauty oils in the world. Its production requires a labor intensive and time consuming (up to four days) process manually handled by Moroccan women at cooperatives. The Prickly Pear seeds are separated from the pulp and are then dried before being cold pressed. Because each seed contains only 5% of oil, up to 60 lbs. of seeds (or half a ton of fruit) are required to yield about 34oz. of oil.
Prickly Pear Seed Oil has a high concentrations of Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and essential fatty acids (Linoleic Acid or Omega 6). This oil contains more Tocopherol (molecules with strong antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties) than any other oil available in the beauty care market (almost 1-1/2 times more Tocopherol than Argan oil).
I am myself a user and a fan of this precious oil. I had two large dark spots on my face due to hyper-pigmentation. My dermatologist prescribed the usual chemical “bleaching” hydroquinone creams as treatment.
However, my face skin had a bad reaction to the creams and it turned dry, itchy, with red spots. I immediately stopped using the creams, cancelled my follow up appointments, and instead decided to try this organic, pure, and natural product. I applied it religiously every night and, after a few months, I can show you that this precious oil does indeed work. My dark spot have diminished and my complexion is even and smooth. Also, my eye shadows are brighter while my skin is deeply moisturized and has a healthy, natural glow.
For people that, like me, have suffered with skin imperfections that make us feel uncomfortable, here is a completely natural product with exceptional components that, used in a concentrated form, will give you results.
